Look at something like Star Trek: The Next Generation from the 90s. Each season had 20 or more episodes. But then look at something more modern like Game of Thrones. Even at its peak, it only had 10 episodes per season usually. And 10 or less seems to be the standard these days (unless it’s an anime). What happened? Did studios start running out of money?
