I initially wanted to say “found footage”, but maybe this is more clear.

I’m watching the The Practice episode that does that goes documentary style. They have a crew following the law firm and allows us to see their little squabbles in a more raw form. It also reminded me of the episode of Modern Family when it does the screen life style with Claire. It really gets to show how much she juggle as mom, wife, sister, and daughter. Bones also has this in the form of first-person. There’s an episode where we see everything happen from the perspective of the remains. It allows for some more intimate moments.
