It’s the offseason so it’s time to ask the fun questions
I’ve been into college basketball recently (a lot more than usual) and obviously Miami is a huge story, 26-0 and the only undefeated team left. Everyone loves them and is rooting for them, but if you can’t tell by my flair I really don’t like them. I’m one of the select few rooting on their downfall.
But that got me thinking. What are some crazy unpopular opinions that you have, that would get you downvoted to oblivion if you took your stance, but that you won’t change your mind on no matter how insane everyone else thinks you are?
I’ll start: I wouldn’t mind Trinidad Chambliss getting a sixth year of eligibility. I don’t like that we’re going through the court system to determine these things, but Chambliss is only 23 and has only had 3 healthy years of college football. Compare that to someone like Diego Pavia, also suing the NCAA for another year, who has played 6 years of college football and is trying to argue that JUCO years shouldn’t count against D1 eligibility. Chambliss has, in my opinion, a solid argument that he wasn’t able to play his first two seasons, and he’s not in the 25-year-old “bro get a job” territory for me quite yet. I think he should get one more year.
He’s also more likeable than Pavia if that means anything
