Rules

Trivia Tuesday is a weekly feature run by /u/bakonydraco, /u/DampFrijoles, /u/Davidellias, and /u/iamnotacola. Each week there will be five questions ranging from questions most everyone can get to questions that might stump just about everyone. Your goal is to quickly answer them to the best of your ability. You get a one point speed bonus for finishing in under 2:30.

There are definitely still ways you could cheat the system, but please do not. This is meant to be a fun weekly feature, and we encourage you to take it at face value and answer the questions without assistance.

Last Week

Meta Week is back! This week’s set of questions will be very loosely linked to college football. Scores this week will not count toward the upcoming season, so no need to worry about getting some wrong.

This is the 41th season of Trivia Tuesday! Crazy as it is to say, we have reached the 10th anniversary of this crazy thing. Incredibly, we started Trivia Tuesday with the Spring 2016 season

We at the Trivia mod team are grateful to everyone for making Trivia Tuesday such an incredible success, and here’s to ten more years of Trivia!

Individual

Last Week

As usual, there were no perfect scores or any users getting all ten questions correct. But just once user got ten points: /u/CptCheese. This is foreshadowing . . .

Playoff

. . . to here: CptCheese is the Winter 2025 Trivia Tuesday Individual Champion! They clinched the title on the strength of that highest score. This is their first Trivia Tuesday championship and their first podium finish as well. Seventh times’s the charm, as this was their seventh appearance in the final.

/u/dmanyaz123 and /u/GoCardinal07 got the silver and bronze this season. dmanyaz123 decided to make a grand entrance in the finals, as they get second place in their first appearance. Meanwhile, GoCardinal07 is a regular in the finals having made it twelve times in the past fourteen seasons, which includes seven podiums and four championships.

All three have earned the /r/CFB Top Scorer flair (/r/CFB Top Scorer) for finishing in the top three.

Some extra notes:

  • /u/ruwisc had the fastest average speed of the playoff participants, clocking in at 31.40 seconds.
  • /u/GoCardinal07 scored the most points on the season once again, with 67 points out of a possible 77 (87.01%).

Premier Tier

Ohio State is the Winter 2025 Premier Tier Champion!!! The Buckeyes now have seven Premier Tier championships, which widens further cements their place as the second winningest team.

Leading the way for Ohio State in the final were /u/realfakemormon, /u/Pavs38, /u/jddbucknole, /u/Smitty_OSU_1967, and /u/Moose4KU.

Rounding out the finalists in order of finish are Michigan State, Georgia Tech, and Michigan.

Ohio State will get an alternate flair for their victory! Because the Buckeyes already have two alternate flairs Ohio State and Ohio State, this flair will not be permanent; they will only hold it as long as they are Trivia champions. Ohio State fans, please suggest options in the comments.
