Fans of both teams are unhappy with the lack of availability of jerseys, and the lack of quality of those that are available for purchase. Fanatics, which has exclusive consumer product licensing rights to manufacture and distribute all Nike NFL products, has received all of the criticism leading up to Super Bowl LX this Sunday. Quality control has been a common criticism of Fanatics. Unsatisfied customers have often taken to social media with #EndFanatics, providing images of products that arrived with significant issues.
Additionally, Daily Mail had an article titled: “NFL fans destroy ‘diabolically pathetic’ Super Bowl merch as fans start to arrive in San Francisco”
Taking to the social media platform, the fan showcased the current array of New England Patriots merch on offer - which others labelled ‘disgraceful’.
In a viral post, fans noted that the official jersey which the Patriots will wear is not on sale. Instead, a black version - without the stripes and the ‘USA 250’ patch - were seen on sale for $160.00 USD.
