We’ve been pretty lucky to see lots of close super bowls over the past 25 years, however there have been a few stinkers throughout this period. For the 6 games with a difference of 14 or more points in the past 25 years, the pregame favorite has been on the losing end of each game:

Super Bowl 37 - The Raiders were 4 point favorites, lost 48-21

Super Bowl 44 - The Colts were 5 point favorites, lost 31-17

Super Bowl 48 - The Broncos were 2 point favorites, lost 43-8

Super Bowl 50 - The Panthers were 5.5 point favorites, lost 24-10

Super Bowl 55 - The Chiefs were 3 point favorites, lost 31-9

Super Bowl 59 - The Chiefs were 1.5 point favorites, lost 40-22
