This is a neo noir detective drama but also more importantly it’s about a relationship between a man and his daughter that’s been strained and he’s trying to mend the fences.
It’s honestly very touching the scenes between Ethan Hawke and his on screen daughter. It feels very natural, just extremely well done.
But it’s also pretty ridiculous! But always entertaining!
If you love actual real live journalism, and or if you love noir Sam spade type mysteries, this is absolutely a show for you
