Original Title: It’s only a season and a few episodes into its second season, but The Pitt to me is the best medical drama of all time. The writing is absolutely perfect. The characters are relatable and the cases they take on are super realistic and not overly dramatized.

This show is perfect. Great cast, great writing, great direction, great cases. I love all of the characters and they’re not overly dramatized characters. Each one of them I feel like I’ve met in real life. I also believe their take on Mel dealing with neurodivergence is vastly superior to a show like the good doctor where his neurodivergence makes him into a superman. It’s cool to see a character like that get treated with respect but also work their way into handling bed side manner and overall emotions of being a doctor while not being able to take on cues of emotion.
