Most first seasons are bumpy. But, what is a show that got it right from the start?
Spongebob Squarepants comes to mind. The first episode is odd but not bad at all. “Help Wanted” and “Tea at the Treedome” are iconic episodes. It’s amazing to think that “Ripped Pants” was only in the second episode. Then hits like “Pizza Delivery”, “Jellyfish Jam”, and “FUN”? Wow.
If you said season 1 was actually the best season, I wouldn’t disagree. It’s not my personal fav, but I can understand why it would be someone else’s.
(It’s hard to imagine Spongebob has been airing for over 20 years but was only great for around 4 of those)
