Just who was Corbett Davis? Well, theres not a lot on him. He played as a Back, was drafted by the Cleveland Rams, and after playing 4 seasons with them, went to serve in the USA army during WW2 as a rifleman, where he was wounded. Then, upon his return, worked as a B1G Ref, (and called absolutely no holding penalties, creating the tradition of causing headaches for fans across the B1G)

Taking a look at his stats, he wasn’t particularly great, but i don’t have any film to review the intangibles, so I’m going to assume he was a big GLUE guy. He also was a Punter, Kicker, and Passer, and played defense (the original Travis Hunter?) and recorded a single INT in 1942

He died suddenly during a fishing trip, where he lost his footing climbing out of a boat and falling on a tree branch and ruptured his spleen, which is obviously very sad.
