A friend of mine tried to get me to watch landman. I couldn’t even get through an episode. I think we watched episode 6.
What the fuck are we doing? What values and low level of story telling are we acceptable with now? It was just a completely hollow, glossed up, piece of shit.
And, he was telling me every one loves it? Like thinks it great?
Wtf… no wonder this world (specifically the US) is in such dire straits. The bar has become so low. And story telling is a direct reflection of society, how we see ourselves, about whats important to us.
Not only that, these stories we create shape opinion, thought, cultural norms, each other. We got to do better.
Sweat baby jesus, I hope we start doing better.
