I think it would be great if Landman had a Cooper spinoff where he abandons the oil patch to chase his real dream of becoming a washed-up hillbilly rockstar? “Kid Cooper“. Or just Kid Coop. Either works. Then just call the show My Name Is Kid Coop and you’ve easily got a modern instant classic.
Think of all the dive bars we get to watch Kid Coop be a class-A gentleman in. "Yes sir, “yes ma’am”, even when the owner throws him out the back for asking about his tab. Make half the show about Kid Coop renegotiating himself from 10% of the door down to 5% just out of pure principle and the thing basically writes itself.
Writers, you’ve got a hit, this one’s on me.
