Genuine question, not trying to be a dick. I’ve seen so many rave reviews about this show saying it’s the very best ER show. I watched s1 ep1 last night and agree that the medical scenes are really well done. I just cannot get over the campy dialogue and bad acting in between those scenes. A lot of interactions between characters made me cringe so hard, especially between the interns/students. When Dr Ross dramatically put his arm up in the doorway to stop Dr Langdon from leaving the room I actually cackled, like no one actually acts like this in real life. It felt like a scene from Twilight.
I just feel like for this show to have the reviews it does (and to have won 5 Emmys) surely the entire season can’t be like this?
Edit: you don’t have to downvote me to hell because I didn’t like the first episode of your favorite show
