54.Army @ #19 LSU

LSU doesn’t support the troops

53.SMU @ Temple

This game exists.

52.Southern Miss @ South Alabama

This game also exists.

51.CMU @ Ball State

Yet another game that exists.

50.Akron @ BGSU

#MACtion in Ohio

49.Buffalo @ Kent State

#MACtion not in Ohio but instead the state of Kent.

48.Nevada @ SDSU

#MountainBest

47.Hawaii @ New Mexico

A true sicko game contender right here folks.

46.Utah State @ SJSU

A green field is nice but…

45.Coastal Carolina @ Arkansas State

A teal field is cooler.

44.MTSU @ Liberty

Can Liberty keep it’s undefeated season and NY6 birth hopes going? Probably.

43.UTSA @ Florida Atlantic

Last year this would have been a C-USA game but now it’s an AAC game and give it ten years and it’ll probably be an ACC game.

This is also the beginning of a stretch of mid G5 teams battling with potential bowl hopes being on the line.

42.ULM @ Georgia Southern

Sun Belt bird battle.

41.EMU @ Northern Illinois

MAC Bird Battle.

40.Rice @ Tulsa

A bird is involved but unfortunately, it’s not a full-on bird battle.

39.App. State @ Old Dominion

The fact that this game likely decides who is last in the Sun Belt East is a testament to both how strong the east is and how much of a disappointment App. State has been given their usual standards.

Thus concludes the stretch of mid G5 games with potential bowl implications.

38.USF @ UConn

Will UConn be able to do what they did last year and rally of a late season turnaround to get to bowl eligibility?

37.Virginia @ #10 UNC

This chapter in the South’s Oldest Rivalry will either be one of the most shocking chapters are a very forgettable one.

36.#2 Michigan @ Michigan State

These two programs could not be any more different from each other at the moment. I mean it’s hard to believe that not even a decade ago Michigan State was actually considered the better program with a seemingly stable and promising future.

Now the Spartans are in utter turmoil with the immediate future looking very bleak while their rivals are perennial playoff contenders and national championship contenders.

All I have to say is Sparty no!

35.WMU @ Ohio

How will Ohio respond after getting upset by the Huskies? Meanwhile the Broncos have very little wiggle room if they want any hope at seeing the postseason.

34.Charlotte @ East Carolina

This could be the beginning of a very beautiful rivalry! Something Charlotte desperately needs.

33.NMSU @ UTEP

An actual rivalry that probably very few would use the word beautiful to describe it, but damn it I would.

32.FIU @ Sam Houston

Will Sam Houston finally get their first win as an FBS program!?

31.North Texas @ #23 Tulane

Welcome back to the top 25 Tulane.

30.UCF @ #6 Oklahoma

I know many of the new XII members were excited to get at least once chance to play Oklahoma or Texas, well here’s the only chance you’ll get at them, UCF.

So despite all your ineptitudes you better show up if you want any respect.

29.Baylor @ Cincinnati

Dave Aranda has quite the toasty seat it seems.

28.Boston College @ Georgia Tech

The Birds and The Bees is really a conversation about bowl implications.

27.Wisconsin @ Illinois

Mediocre B1G west teams in a game with bowl implications.

26.Northwestern @ Nebraska

Copy and paste what I said above but battle for NU.

25.Mississippi State @ Arkansas

This is a must win if either of the teams want a chance at reaching the post season.

24.Texas Tech @ BYU

BYU finally gets to host one of the hateful 8 at home.

23.Rutgers @ Indiana

A win here gets Rutgers bowling for the first time (without the help from covid shenanigans) in almost a decade and the win here looks very much needed because after this their opponents have a combined record of 28-3.

22.Pitt @ Wake Forest

Was Louisville a fluke? Was Phil really just that bad? Is Wake no longer great? All of these questions can kinda get answered here.

21.Arizona State @ #5 Washington

Never underestimate PAC12 after dark voodoo.

20.Colorado State @ UNLV

UNLV has quietly gone 5-1 putting themselves in the Mountain West race, now it;s just a matter if they trip up or not.

19.#13 Ole Miss @ Auburn

Ole Miss and Auburn have some funky ass games.

18.#8 Texas @ Houston

Houston now gets one shot at Texas after all the SWC drama in the past and the XII drama of the day.

So, blast all the Eminem you need to Houston this is your one chance against the giants of Texas.

17.Western Kentucky @ Jacksonville State

A pivotal match up in C-USA even if one of these teams can’t reach the postseason.

16.Memphis @ UAB

These two teams play for a trophy that is a rack of ribs. Need I say more?

This will also be the first time these rivals meet on the gridiron in over a decade.

15.TCU @ Kansas State

These two teams before the season probably imagined that this game was going to be more important.

Well one can regain some dignity with a win while the other sinks more in the disappointment that has been 2023.

14.Oklahoma State @ West Virginia

Meanwhile two of the teams that many had no real hopes for are battling for potential third place in the XII and more importantly the hateful 8 championship!

13.Clemson @ Miami (FL)

While this game may not have the implications that some thought it would have before the season it should still be quite fun and interesting to see if Mario Cristobal can finally get an ACC win at home.

12.#22 Air Force @ Navy

A very important rivalry game between these two military academies as Navy is looking to go full steam ahead after taking on some water to start the season, meanwhile Air Force looks to continue soaring as high as they possibly can to potentially even brand-new heights.

11.Minnesota @ #24 Iowa

Sicko Iowa in a sicko game on their way to a potential sicko 11-1 season.

10.James Madison @ Marshall

RANK JAMES MADISON YOU COWARDS!

LET JAMES MADISON PLAY IN THE POSTSEASON YOU NCAA BITCHES!

WATCH THIS GAME ON THURSDAY BECAUSE IT WILL PROBABLY BE VERY GOOD!

9.Georgia State @ Louisiana

I only put this game higher because it has bigger conference implications because of dumb NCAA rules.

Don’t let the red tape distract you though from how good and deserving both of these teams would be to make the championship game and depending on how the rest of the season plays out this may be a preview of the Sun Belt Championship itself.

8.South Carolina @ #20 Missouri

The Battle for Columbia, South Carolina’s bowl hopes, the power of dark Mizzou, all this and so much more.

7.Washington State @ #9 Oregon

FUCK THE PAC12 NETWORK!

Wait, Washington State’s game isn’t on the network? There’s no PAC12 network game at all this weekend! HALLEFUCKINGLUJAH!

Oh yeah I guess I should give some thoughts on the actual game uhm it will be interesting to see how Oregon responds after their lost to Washington and if the Cougars can get back on track after a rough couple of weeks especially since this will be the last time the cougars will get to face off against the Ducks for the foreseeable future.

6.#25 UCLA @ Stanford

Some might think this game shouldn’t be so high but let me give a few reasons why it would be.

One, This will be the last game between two classic in state and conference foes that has been going on for almost a century.

Two, This is a PAC 12 after dark game and those are almost always crazy in case you didn’t see Stanford’s previous PAC 12 after dark game against Colorado this year.

Third, speaking of that Colorado game, Stanford might now have some newfound confidence because of Colorado’s implosion.

And finally, fourth and the greatest reason of all it’s not on the fucking PAC 12 Network!

5.Toledo @ Miami (OH)

Similar to the Georgia State-Louisiana game in that this could be a potential preview of the conference championship game.

The difference is that this is much more likely to be a preview of the championship due to the Sun Belt being a much more competitive race.

The caveat being that Ohio is still in it, so the Redhawk have far less room to mess up if they wish to return to Detroit for the first time since 2019.

4.#16 Duke @ #4 FSU

Not so fun fact Duke has never beaten FSU and the Blue Devils feel like they have a team that can compete and maybe finally break the Seminoles steak except for one major variable.

The health of their star QB Riley Leonard, someone that even if Duke has will still have to contend with the intense night atmosphere of Tallahassee but if they don’t have him then the challenge to finally get a win in this series column will become even more daunting.

3.#17 Tennessee @ #11 Alabama

Will the Crimson Tide be able to get revenge for last year and continue their march to the SEC championship?

Will Tennessee get a much needed road win in rival territory after getting embarrassed in the swamp?

Can either team finally get their offense to click in the way that they want?

Does Tennessee have an Orange you can sit with?

All of these questions and more to get answered on the third Saturday in October.

2.#14 Utah @ #18 USC

The Utes have won 3 in a row against the Trojans with 2 out of the 3 even being by multiple scores, and now Utah has the chance to solidify their dominance over USC in recent history with this being their final matchup in the forese…
