Original Title: It seems that another downside to the current transfer schedule is that so much of the focus right now is on Portal drama instead of the actual important games being played. Of the top 10 CFB stories on ESPN, not one is about the playoff games themselves.

With pro sports they have trade deadlines, for several reasons, but one of the benefits is that once you get to the post season all of the trade drama has simmered to a low boil and the playoffs themselves can take center stage.

With the transfer window being right now, a lot of fans seem (understandably) more concerned with who they are getting or losing than they are with the playoff games. Also it genuinely seems like the overwhelming majority of the sports media coverage is about transfers and coaches, and the playoffs seem like an afterthought. On the main page of ESPN CFB when I write this, there are only two top stories that mention the remaining playoff teams (and both of those are about portal/transfer drama).
