Like Mike’s tale of Eleven’s survival relies squarely on Kali, who is not exactly the mostly healthy teenage girl, who was shot in the gut way before the final battle against Vecna and the Mind flyer.
For Mike’s theory to work, Kali had to be still alive in the first place, conscious and being able to focus her powers, and on top of that, safe from from the explosives that Hopper sets before the military jumped on them
Which ends up with everyone saying: “I believe”, because despite how little sense it makes, the alternative is too depressing. And that’s what the Stranger Things fans who are dissatisfied with the finale are doing, hence CutGate and ConformityGate, and gods knows what are other gates are floating around.
