I know the title sounds a bit like an advert but I am being serious when I say that this is a must watch show, one of the best of the 2020’s and will one day be a classic. It’s a police procedural that takes place in Northern Ireland, it flew under the radar because its a mid budget BBC show so it doesn’t have the same reach that American shows have.
I’m sitting here trying to figure out how to entice you to watch this show, because anything I say will not do this show justice. The plot is perfectly cohesive, there’s not a thread that goes unanswered or is tied up poorly. The characters are written so well that not a single line feels out of place, I’ve never watched a show were every single character is my favorite, but this one has done it for me.
This show is a breath of fresh air in todays tv culture of constantly reiterating points because the viewers are on their phone or putting their focus elsewhere, they don’t treat the audience like morons. Something I also really appreciate about the show is how logical it is. According to North Irelanders this show is pretty realistic in terms of police protocol, and does a pretty good job of displaying the politics at play in certain parts of the area. I guarantee that even if you don’t like police procedurals, you will love this show.
Please give it a shot and thank me later
