He leads the conference in passing with 3,660 yards and also has 21 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions all year. He’s 6th nationally in passing. He also just threw for 362 yards and 2 TD last night against the number 3 team in the country Georgia.
I’m not gonna deny that Diego Pavia is a great quarterback because I think he is most of the time. But he hasn’t really stepped up in the moment in the big games and hasn’t backed up his shit talk (minus the Tennessee game, but then again Tennessee’s defense leaves a lot to be desired).
Trinidad on the other hand has shown he can remain calm and collected in big games (maybe minus the 4th quarter at UGA in Athens) and this is a player who was starting at D-II last year and has now led his team to the semifinals of the CFP. If they win that they will play in the National Championship Game. But more (and perhaps most) importantly, he’s remained humble through it all. I really think they made a mistake not voting him SEC Offensive Player of the Year and it shows.
But this is just my 2 cents.
