The top teams in college football are great this year. But none of them are historically great. The playoffs will be exciting, but I feel pretty confident nothing will happen there that doesn’t have at least some historical precedent. On the other hand Iowa looks likely to win the division of a power 5 conference with a $7 billion media deal with the worst offense in the country.
