I’ve been watching the original 1959 episodes lately and the picture quality is shocking. Usually, when you go back to shows from that era, you expect a certain amount of fuzziness or heavy grain. But The Twilight Zone is so crisp and sharp that it’s almost hard to believe it was filmed 65 years ago. The detail in the close-ups and the lighting is better than a lot of shows that came out decades later in the 70s or 80s. It’s rare to see a show from that time period that feels this high definition. the restoration work is amazing, and it really makes the atmosphere of the episodes hit much harder when you can see every detail. It’s honestly impressive how well this has aged visually. It looks like it was filmed yesterday.
