I am a physician with no background in business or sports management. While I know how to research medical topics, I do not know how to do so for any studies in other fields.
I was wondering if anyone has studied the impact of the transfer portal in the NIL era focusing on whether players see increased payment and/or playing time by entering the portal.
I think the study would be fascinating but I do not know if any of the monetary data is publicly available. It would be really interesting to see what happens with players who enter the portal multiple times in their college careers.
Figured I would ask here in case there are some sports management majors/alums who may know better if this has been or is being studied and where to find the information.
Thanks!
