In light of the video game - series renaissance going on and Netflix randomly dropping Western (limited) series every now and then, im a bit baffled no one has taken up the task yet. Netflix already has The Witcher and that recent Splinter cell so it would make sense for them in that sense.

Hollywood loves a Western series and the Red dead games are critically acclaimed, shouldn’t be that difficult to adapt save for casting, but you could even get away without an A list cast imo, as long they nail Arthur Morgan and John Marston.

Make it sort of an anthology and start with Red Dead 2, then go to Red Dead Redemption. There’s so much story there that makes it perfect for a series, and they could make give each game more than 1 season if needed too. Normally I think this is the type of project HBO would lap up in a heartbeat, but there’s all sorts of stuff going on at Warner Bros atm so fair enough.

Psa: if you do this Hollywood, make a series, not a movie.
