College football has changed dramatically in the past few years. What are the toughest pills for you to swallow in all the changes?

Here are some examples:

  1. The Rose Bowl ain’t what she used to be. I remember something almost ethereal and majestic about this game. The hype, the pageantry, the time slot. It was a huge deal and sometimes felt even more special than the national championship. Now it will only be a playoff game and may not even be played in the Rose Bowl much longer.
  2. The loss of rivalries in conference realignment has dampened so much of what made the sport fun.
  3. The obsession with the playoff has ruined most of the appeal of bowl games. There are still 124 teams every year that will not go to the playoff and vying for a bowl game used to be a great reward but now no one seems to care.
