Finally, it ends. This show has no plot at all—it’s just a 1 or 2-page story that they stretched out like gum just to fool the audience. I don’t know how people can even defend this. It went from one of the best pilot episodes I’ve seen to a dragged-out, no-plot, 9-episode run.
Episode 1 was the best thing in recent years. But after that? You could literally take episodes 2 to 5 and turn them into one 30-minute episode because it was nothing but Carol’s tantrums. Then, if episodes 6 to 8 were Carol exposing everything, it would have been fire.
Distracted by Lust Instead, the show gets stuck. “Oho, but there is a hot girl I want to fuck, so let’s forget the world and fuck the chick here and there.” Carol is just lustful for Zosia, and the plot gets tossed aside for it.
The Episode 9 Letdown Everyone kept defending it, saying, “Oh, episode 9 will be bonkers, everyone will lose their mind and have an orgasm after seeing it.” But lol, Vince Gilligan really played the audience. To be honest, Manusos’s 20 minutes of screen time in episode 9 was more engaging than the whole 2–8 run of Carol’s tantrums.
Bottom Line This should have been a 3 to 4-episode single-season show. But who cares about the audience’s time? If they make money, they’ll just say “fuck off” and do it all over again in Season 2.
