I did lose interest when Lauren Tewes got fired over her cocaine addiction (LOL) and I was over the series trying to turn Jill Whelan in a star or how every sexy woman who came on the boat wanted to have sex with the ugly doctor.
Still, I enjoyed the classic film stars showing up as guests, some story-lines were sweet and entertaining and I like Gavin McLeod as Captain Steubing. I was truly invested when Marion Ross joined the series as a recurring star to be his romantic interest. They had good chemistry.
