Is the Poptart Bowl the most prestigious non-playoff bowl now?
Since the fancy bowls are all playoff games now, is the Poptart Bowl the most prestigious bowl game outside of the playoff now? Seeing as the first two out of the playoff (BYU and ND) were invited? I know ND declined and GA Tech took their place, and they were also in the hunt for the playoff before imploding at the end of the year… so as many jokes as there are about it, I guess the Poptart Bowl seems to be the consolation prize for missing the playoff?
