Welcome to week 15 of the 2025 r/NFL power rankings, the most biased-unbiased source for power rankings on the web. Following an AFC East battle, the Rams reclaim their throne. The Broncos and Texans are peaking at the right time with two more strong wins, but nobody jumped higher than the Ravens. The biggest drop came from the Chiefs (-7),with a playoff elimination adding insult to injury. The Patriots drop 21 and another three spots, while the Panthers are rightfully punished for losing to the Saints. | 1. | Rams | +1 | 11-3 | The Rams continued to demonstrate offense dominance with a second straight game of 500+ yards and 40+ points scored. Their run game is the most consistent and explosive across the league while Matt Stafford remains the standard for QB play this season. As seen against SF and CAR, creating turnovers is the only way to stop them. Defensively, this wasn’t the first time the secondary been exposed, but the defensive front remain one of the best run-stopping units in the league with Poona Ford, Byron Young, and Jared Verse. But now, we await Thursday. This one will all but be for the division and #1 seed. | |
| 2. | Broncos | +2 | 12-2 | Super Bowl. Put it in the bag, little bro. The Broncos looked sterling on both sides of the ball against the Packers all game. Some of us were scratching our heads over the decision to go for it on 4th down a handful of times, and we failed two of them which kept the Packers in the game. Those choices signaled to me that Sean Payton was confident enough in the team to see if we could keep the pressure on without fear of consequences. Bo touched on it briefly after the game as well, saying that they had a couple opportunities to force the issue but didn’t capitalize. I Bolieve that this team WILL capitalize on moments like that when it’s do or die in the playoffs, and can carry this new level of control and precision on offense into the postseason. Yes, I know that the Packers lost Christian Watson (actually he might be ok!) and Micah Parsons during this game, but I am not discounting this win. My heart breaks for their fanbase, and I really thought this might be a super bowl preview. Bring on TLaw and the Jags! I’m confident we’ll find a way to win again, but it’ll be another heater of a game. | |
| 3. | Seahawks | – | 11-3 | This week, the offense started slow and finished slow without scoring a touchdown. They cannot execute in the redzone-- it is essentially a guaranteed field goal attempt when we get within the opponent’s 20. Despite having the offensive player of the year in Jaxon Smith Njigba, the identity of this team will always be the defense, which is fine. That’s what happens with elite units, and this Seattle defense is elite. But if they hope to succeed at all in the playoffs, they’re going to have to figure out how to score on offense. The defense is only capable of scoring so much themselves. Jason Myers won’t always go 6/6. Sam and the offense need to step up. But it’s not all on Darnold; this Seahawks running game is the worst I’ve seen in years. Pete Carroll is rolling in his grave. It seems as though every handoff is a net negative for this team. Not great! But hey, we’re 11-3 and it ain’t the postseason yet. We need to lock-in on these horned sheep sitting atop the conference. Wake up Seattle! | |
| 4. | Bills | +2 | 10-4 | It appeared to be another crushing loss to the new kids on the block down 21-0 in the second quarter and then something changed. The Bills must’ve practiced witchcraft during halftime as a dominant team came out of the locker room outscoring the Pats 28-7 to seal the win. Drake Maye wasn’t effective, only completing 14 passes and no touchdowns in a strong defensive performance by the Bills if you completely ignore the run defense. Allen showed why he was the reigning MVP winner by putting up yet another MVP performance, hanging 3 touchdowns on the Pats defense in yet another turnover free game. Suddenly the tables have turned with the Bills reeling off a 3 game winning streak and the Pats 10 game winning streak snapped. The division is still a long shot but the Bills have started to strongly solidify that they will be in the playoffs for a 7th straight season which would be the longest in the league. Thanks 2025 Chiefs! With the Chiefs out of the way and the team starting to click it’s looking like Bills Mafia can dream of a deep playoff run, one in which they will get a chance to break the head to head tie with the Pats in a AFC championship. | |
| 5. | Patriots | -4 | 11-3 | The Patriots are completely doomed. The hopes of a new glorious dynasty lay tattered and torn on the turf of Gillette Stadium, routed by an ascendant Bills team that smells blood in the murky AFC waters now that the Chiefs no longer stand in their path to Super Bowl Glory. Vrabel’s once mighty defense smote by James Cook’s mighty hand, McDaniel’s cleverly crafted playbook shredded by the terrifying team of Tre’Davious White and Maxwell Hairston. And the most frightening development of all: Drake Maye has become the Anti- Bo Nix, playing lights out for 3 quarters only to collapse upon the start of the 4th. Desperation and despair linger in the frosty Foxborough air as fans begin to lament what could have been, the 2026 draft the only beacon of hope in the future…. Wait, the Pats are still 11-3? They managed to secure a 21 point lead against a decent Bills team, and despite the loss still have the lead in the division? They’re only a game out of the 1st seed in the AFC with no truly scary teams left on their cupcake schedule? TreVeyon Henderson looks like one of the most explosive players in the entire NFL? Milton Williams and Will Campbell are expected back at some point this season? Drake Maye is, well, 1-12 when trailing in the 4th quarter but he’s still a sophomore QB and has plenty of room to grow? Ok, so maybe things really aren’t all that bad, huh. Well, guess I’ll go back to watching game film (Drake Maye TikTok edits) and look forward to the next game against the Ravens in Baltimore. Barring a collapse that sees New England lose 2 of their next 3 games, the division is still secure and the playoffs await. It’s good to be a Pats fan. | |
| 6. | 49ers | +1 | 10-4 | The offense was humming on Sunday, ending with 430 yards in a 37-24 win over the Titans. The Niners have averaged 31 points over the last 4 contests- all against teams with sub .500 records. The final 3 matchups (@Ind, CHI, SEA) will show if this team can make some noise come playoff time. | |
| 7. | Texans | +3 | 9-5 | The Texans did what they had to do on Sunday, beat an inferior team without any drama. Jawhar Jordan came in for the injured Woody Marks and set a new franchise record with 101 rushing yards in his NFL debut. That was also the highest rush total for anyone this season. Don’t look now but CJ Stroud is also starting to look comfortable at just the right time. They need to do the same again on Sunday against the Raiders to keep up with the Jags and a possible AFCS title. | |
| 8. | Packers | -3 | 9-4-1 | I applaud the numerologists in the Packer fandom who have spent the last couple seasons trying to read the tea leaves find how any Jordan Love season lines up with 1996 and 2010. Last year we were doing the “14 years between Super Bowls” thing. This year we’ve had a lot of shenanigans with the number 27. Now we’re on the injury angle. The 2010 Packers had 16 players on IR by the end of the year. With Micah shredding his knee we are now approaching double digits. Just a few more sacrifices and we’re almost guaranteed to win the Super Bowl! At least we’re channeling batshit insane stringboard nonsense on football rather than, like, Pizzagate or something. Now excuse me I have to go and try and remember which underpants I wore last Sunday so I can wear them again for the Bears game this week. | |

In the coldest game in Soldier Field history, the Chicago Bears completely dominated the Browns on both sides of the ball, with Caleb Williams having several plays that remind you why he went the #1 pick, while the Bears defense limited Cleveland to a single first down in the first half. The Bears now have a weakened Packers team at home Saturday night and the team turned the page as soon as possible. This is a chance for a few things - revenge, taking the division control solidly, cementing themselves as real contenders… This is the biggest regular season game for them in well over a decade.
