Buffy is one of the best TV shows ever imo, and it sucks that the only remaster we have is a shitty one. It crops and stretches the image, gets important details wrong like color and lighting, and completely ruins certain scenes. There are moments that are clearly meant to be nighttime but look like full daylight, like the scene where Buffy is alone in her room with Angel. They also didn’t even bother fixing basic goofs caused by the widescreen treatment, so characters, crew, or equipment that were supposed to be out of frame are now visible. It just feels lazy and disrespectful to a show this good. Buffy deserves a proper HD remaster done with care, the way other 90s shows have gotten. Seeing Buffy done right in HD would feel like watching it for the first time, and there are already a few shots in the current remaster that prove how incredible it could look if they actually put the effort in.
