My sister and me love a good rom-com add in a Christmas holiday backdrop and we are happy campers! Sometimes it takes a few glasses of a dry wine to help balance the often sugary sweet and over the top story lines. Which are always so predictable that it’s hard to get through the whole movie. TDOC is a bit of a fresh take on the standard and predictable Hallmark Christmas movie. I Appreciate the casting! I Appreciate the London backdrop! I can certainly see some riffs on the “Love Actually and Last Christmas” movies motifs. But I’m actually enjoying it. It’s certainly not without its overly fantastical and overstated romanticism and family tropes but all in all it keeps me interested and entertained. Anybody else watching? Liking?
