Mike Gundy hasn’t made a public statement towards OSU football since he was fired, at least to the best of my knowledge.
The coaching carousel has seen lots of statements from coaches to their former schools, some more believable thank others, and I am struck that Gundy hasn’t offered up anything to the university that he is so intricately tied to.
Do you think he is handling this in the right way?
I personally am a little shocked he hasn’t said anything. Anyone who has been fired knows that is a bad feeling, but he gave so much to that place over decades, and even if he lost his steam at the end, he is still the Okie State GOAT.
IMO, him releasing a statement will let the healing begin, and just speeds up the reconciliation that should happen at some point in the future.
