So watched Vox and enjoyed it well enough that I tried Nein
Never could get into watching the campaigns during covid. Dabbled some D&D in the past to be broadly familiar.
Three episodes into Nien right now and feeling the idiot plot (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiot//_plot) dialed up to 11. In Vox it was mostly just Scanlan doing this on repeat for most of the series. No hate. Know some people loved him. Just not enjoyable for me.
Now it feels like everyone has Scanlan’s decisions making capabilities. Does it get better or do they just keep suffering at their own hands? They already have a backlog from previous self-imposed consequences to over come. I don’t think I can keep going if the writing keeps having the characters shoot themselves in the foot. But if it shapes up to be on par with Vox I would like to continue.
