This will sort itself out as these teams have a high remaining SOS and pretty much all of them play each other, but so far only half of the top 10 have actually played quality opponents. I’m not sure if the top 10 has ever been half full of teams with absolutely no challenge faced so far before. I think it helps put into perspective where teams are really at so far. It’s easy to say Ohio State, Florida State, and Georgia haven’t looked as good as Michigan, Washington, and Penn State, but those teams have a massive difference in SOS. And although some of these teams are very good, when you haven’t faced any actual challenge, you got to wonder if they’re actually as good as everyone thinks.
