You don’t really need a tuner if you’re just listening. I’d sell it, that’s a nice tuner and someone will want it

If you’re only going to be listening then I’d say it depends on what type of antenna setup you are planning to have. This type of tuner is mostly useful when you transmit because SWR matters when you’re transmitting, you want a good match.
But depending on the antenna type you could possibly use this thing to tune the antenna for listening. You would need to tune manually though. It’s $300 new, might be better to sell it and get a good listening antenna?
