I know that people are kinda down on the shows taking 2 years or more for a new season to come out. And I mostly agree. But… I just finished binging the 4 available episodes of Stranger Things and I have to say, it was worth it.

I am aware I may be an outlier because I do have a great OLED TV and a kinda expensive Atmos speaker setup. But holy shit, these episodes look so good. It’s a movie level production throughout. And they also sound incredible. This is some of the best Atmos I’ve heard on these speakers since I bought them about a year ago.

That episode 4 looks, sounds and is directed better than a lot of movies I saw in cinema this year. And I know Stranger Things is an obvious outlier and most shows just don’t have this kind of budget to throw around. And yes, it’s kinda ridiculous to see these grown men and women play teenagers.

But honestly, for this kind of quality, I will gladly wait 2 or 3 years. It’s worth it.

Note: I am not talking about the script or the story or anything like that, that’s subjective and not the point of this thread. Strictly speaking about production values.
