We’re back tracking the last teams without a win in college football. The rules are simple: You are on until you win. If you are a power 5 team a win over an FCS team only moves to you “Honorary Unwinfeated” as there is no valid excuse for a Power 5 team to lose to an FCS team without a Dakota in its name. G5 teams can get a pass if their lone win is over an FCS team because this is my post and I make the rules.

Leaving the Watch this week:
UConn (1-5) – The Huskies got a comeback win at Rice, fighting back from an early 14-0 deficit to get off the watch.
UNWINFEATED WATCH
Sam Houston - 0-5 – They were given Liberty, but chose death via Unwinfeated Watch with a 21-16 loss that came down to the final play. Who could have seen Liberty getting last minute divine intervention from above with an incomplete pass into the end zone.
Nevada – 0-5 (with FCS loss BY 27 POINTS!) – Also survived the dreaded bye week. Now they will host rival UNLV, where they can get a transitive win over an SEC team.
HONORARY UNWINFEATED (Power 5 with only win over an FCS team)
Virginia – 1-5 (William & Mary 27-13) – The Cavs moved from “Unwinfeated” to “Honorary Unwinfeated” by beating FCS William & Mary. This victory broke an 8-game losing streak for the Cavs.
Pittsburgh - 1-4 - (Wofford 45-7) – Survived the dreaded BYE week this week. Now they get to host top 25 Louisville.
Arizona State - 1-4 (Southern Utah 24-21) – Pushed Deion’s Colorado, but fell in a close one 27-24. They travel to top 10 Washington next.
SPECIAL CATEGORY FOR SEEKING ACHIEVEMENT IN AGGRESSIVELY PURSUING DEFEAT:
Miami (FL) – 4-1 – The Hurricanes were so dedicated to getting a loss that they literally handed a game over to Georgia Tech. I don’t care that Miami is 4-1 overall. When you lose a game like THAT you get put on this list in some way, at least for a week. We need a name for this.
