The whole Lane Kiffin thing. I don’t get it.
He’s already at an SEC school, he’s got solid recruiting, a good staff, and his timing is exquisite. He’s in the SEC West which has been dominated by Alabama, Auburn and LSU for decades. None of those teams are the powerhouses they once were. Bama is obviously the strongest of the three but nowhere near the program they were under Saban.
And here he sits, poised to take over. The fans love him, and the boosters have already said they’ll match any offer. He has solid recruiting and staff. He could easily slip into a 1st round bye this year in the CFP. That alone will boost recruiting.
Why in the fucking world would you leave that and go to a team like Florida? Florida is where we (Tennessee ) were about ten years ago. Coaching carousel, losing seasons, fans not coming to games, program in full collapse. I’m from Rocky Top, don’t remind me. The last couple decades were shit, Coach Heupel for President.
I guess I am not on those guys level so I don’t get their mindset but for the life of me I don’t understand why you wouldn’t stay at Ole Miss and become a legend and take over the SEC West. He could probably do pretty well taking Florida, Bama, LSU and Auburn recruits too. I really, really don’t get it. Someone explain it.
