Trudged through all episodes. This must be the most depressing crap I’ve seen in a long time. Jude Law, true to his legacy, is unbearably depressing to even watch, and he lubricates this energy drainer for us to be sucked in even more; and Jason Bateman takes us for spin in an Uncut Gems Adam Sandler like anxiety centrifuge. It’s the story of two brothers - one a kite in a hurricane and the other a second kite trying to save the first kite from the same hurricane. The setting as well as the ‘don’t give up on your brother’ are good but there are no real emotional arcs, and the perpetual chaos in the 8 episodes can’t just make up for this. In addition, this entire thing is infused with a soul sucking soundtrack. Some supporting actors, cinematography and locations are saving graces in this marathon mood killer! If that was the intent - phenomenal job!!
