Sorry, this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I watch a ton of thrillers and this one seemed pretty bad to me.
The plot was cliched, the pacing glacial, and the script embarrassing. The voice-over toward the end was so bad I couldn’t roll my eyes back far enough. “The only thing he could kill was time”…”Karma is a motherf***er,” both lines delivered with smug satisfaction. Like a team of writers thought, yeah, that’s great. Those are the kind of one-liners you expect from a bad CSI episode
Yes Matthew Rhys is amazing, he was obviously trying to sell it, but Clare Danes was pretty terrible. How did either of them agree to this? The Harlan Coban thrillers are way better, and even they are just mid. Am I missing something???
