The Bears had a pretty head scratching draft in a vacuum, and after two games looked like an unmitigated disaster. 10th overall pick Colston Loveland was basically non existent, and wasn’t getting schemed for. Of the THREE second round picks only one, Luther Burden was suiting up for games, the other two, Trapilo and Stewart, being healthy scratches. Yikes!
However, the narrative has turned around completely on Loveland since his big game winning catch against Cincinnati. Ozzy Trapilo has been relegated to swing tackle duties, with a UDFA from Canada getting starting reps over him. But, Trapilo did start one game for an injured Wright and actually did a semi decent job against Maxx Crosby. Even though he got his lunch eaten ALOT. And Shemar Stewart played a bit and was honestly awful. Getting blown off the line pretty much every play. He unfortunately, is on season ending IR.
the rest of them haven’t impacted or saw the field much so not gonna write an essay…
Besides 7th round pick RB Kyle Monongai. He has been much better than anticipated and hits that hole harder than my wife’s boyfriend.
