It was a Thursday - November 19, 1959 - when Rocky and His Friends debuted on ABC-TV. It originally aired weekly on Thursdays but in its second year, ABC aired two episodes every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 pm following American Bandstand. In 1961, the cartoon show moved to NBC-TV where it was renamed The Bullwinkle Show, and it aired in color on Sundays at 7 pm. Happy 66th anniversary to Rocky and Bullwinkle!
