I could not figure out for the life of me why Billy Bob Thornton would take a role like Landman. The writing is terrible and the complete lack of nuance seems to be not his style.
Then I saw a commercial where poor Billy Bob was selling some cell phone thing. And it all made sense… poor Billy Bob needs money. Maybe he’s in a Willy Nelson situation with the IRS breathing down his neck? Who knows.
The oil company money must be pretty good cuz Landman is pretty fuckin bad.
