What are your favorite shows that were either saved from cancellation by a different network or were revived years after they originally ended? Did the show feel the same after it was transferred to a new network/had been off the air for a while?
Here are mine:
- American Dad! (Moved to TBS after being cancelled by Fox. Loved how it seemed like it became more unhinged and chaotic on TBS. And now TBS declined to order more episodes of the show, so it’s returning to Fox lol.)
- Reno 911 (Ended its original run in 2009 by being cancelled by Comedy Central. Was revived by Quibi in 2020 then moved to Roku. And got 2 additional movies in the 2020s. Through all this the show still retained its humor, style, and quality.)
- The Amazing World of Gumball (Cartoon Network ended the show in 2019 and Hulu brought it back this year as The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball. Love the show and really enjoyed its revival so far, seems to have the same energy and essence that it had on Cartoon Network.)
