Jonathan Taylor leads the NFL with 1,139 rushing yards, 15 rushing TDs, and 6.0 yards per carry. There is no recognized Triple Crown for rushing, but I settled on the three traditional box score stats we tend to look at the most. I posted on this once before, but with Taylor having the incredible year he is having, I wanted to highlight how historic his season could be.
Here are the three Triple Crown stats, and you can see he has a considerable lead in all three categories. A few guys behind him have an extra game remaining, but his lead is much greater than what those guys are averaging per game.

There have only been nine rushing Triple Crown winners: five pre-merger, and only four post-merger. Two of the last three RBs to win the Triple Crown won the league MVP (Terrell Davis in 1998, and Walter Payton in 1977).

Also, of the guys on this list, Beattie Feathers is the only player in NFL history to win the Rushing Quadruple Crown which is leading in yards, TDs, Yds/Att, and best name, all in the same year. Taylor has no shot at the Quadruple.
Here’s to Taylor staying healthy and making history this year!
