In honor of Veterans Day, I want to give a particular shoutout to Hawai’i football.

I think most Veterans would agree that it can be a bit of an awkward day. We don’t like the weird force patriotism thing, but have good memories from serving.

I love college football, and deploying to the Middle East (and then being stationed in Europe) made catching games hard. But Hawai’i football allowed me to hold on to a part of home when I was overseas. I could wake up early Sunday’s and catch their home game kickoffs. I followed them religiously, and even during hard moments, I had them to look forward to.

I have never been to Hawai’i.

So glad the team is back on the upswing. Just a short ramble, but I figured it was a bit of a positive story to share in the midst of buyout and NIL discussions.

Go Bows!
