I had to come here after finishing HBO’s Task because I thought it was absolutely fantastic. For a 7-episode series, the character development was brilliantly deep and emotionally grounded. The writing, pacing, and tone were spot on. Everything felt deliberate and immersive.

Across the board, the acting was exceptional, but I have to single out Tom Pelphrey. I first saw him in Ozark, where he completely stole every scene he was in, and he’s just as phenomenal here. The way he conveys emotion is so raw and real that I genuinely feel it through the screen.

He’s obviously made it anyway, but I really do hope we keep seeing in more lead roles in shows/movies of this calibre. He’s honestly one of the best actors working today for me.

10/10 — incredible series
