Why do they have so many different writers for this series? Moral complexity in the characters is engaging in that everyone does what they think is right for their own reasons. In the greater scheme it’s an indictment against war profiteering and how bureaucracy fouls up what it aims to fix. The closing sequence on the boat on dry land continues the metaphor of the caged tiger. Out of his element. He may dream of escape but two options crop up. 1. He becomes a drunk. 2. He becomes a loner.
