Sort of a message to the 18-25 year old crowd or around there, as I see a lot of posts about not liking something critically acclaimed that they just don’t see the value in. I’m 33 and I remember snobby kids or peers liking dark/complex shows as teens/college kids/just out of college, but a lot of times it felt like they were putting on heirs (like writing long Facebook posts about the latest Mad Men episode.) I used to watch The Americans back then, but didn’t really see the value in it until later. Back then, I think I would have much rather watched whatever was on Adult Swim or Comedy Central or TBS. I say this because I see a lot of posts here, maybe from younger people about not liking something they’re “supposed” to, and can see the tough situation they’re in at that age.
