I’m still processing what I just experienced, but a pure masterclass of television. This show is actually insane, but this particular episode steals the show by a fucking mile. Everything this season and the previous one were building Kevin’s character bit by bit and it all culminated into something truly, truly special in International Assassin.

I can’t praise the cinematography and the feel of the show enough, all of which is on the prime display in this episode. The metaphors and the symbolism are actually insane and have been implemented incredibly well. The acting is phenomenal in the entire show obviously, but my god I was in tears at so many instances in this episode alone. The ending made me feel like I just experienced something which transcends the medium of television.

It also made me miss how TV used to have episodes with a beginning, a middle and a climax. The majority episodes in The Leftovers are just like that, and I love it.

I’m sorry if I just rambled, but yeah one of the greatest, if not the greatest episode of television ever created and The Leftovers is fucking peak. Don’t spoil the show please.
