The fashion is good. Neicy Nash’s comedy is good, but she’s the same in all the series she’s in. From Scream Queens to Rookie Feds to Alls Fair, she plays the exact same personality. But whatever, it was the only thing keeping this melting mess of a series on life support.
What I really don’t get is why they made literally all men except for like 1 dying character weird sex freaks that like taking things up their butt. I’m speaking literally. They make most of the male characters either into being subs for paid dominatrixes or being pegged. All money greedy, and kink freaks.
I really cannot understand why this was necessary. Girl power, having champagne at an all-women’s law firm wearing thongs, ok. But what’s the point in emasculating all the men in the show? Does that make the women seem stronger? I don’t think it does.
Also, I don’t get the hate Sarah Paulson’s character gets from the other characters in the series. It doesn’t make sense. From what I see, she hasn’t done anything wrong and is just hated for no reason by all the other characters. When she resents them, they go full hate train even more. Thanks to women supporting women.
This show is feminist-washing. Meaning, it’s like greenwashing but a feminist version. So many misogynistic details, but they wrap it up in a pretty gift wrap and ribbon of ‘girls can be successful lawyers and men are greedy sex pigs!’
So bad.
