What TV pairing were you surprised to find yourself rooting for? For me, the first was definitely Jeff and Annie on Community. (There are many good reasons why it shouldn’t have happened early in the show but over 7 years, I got more convinced.) Alison Brie and the rest of the gang aren’t evem in the season 1 posters. It was all about Jeff getting Britta but somehow my mind got changed.
The other one more recently is Shogun. Watching Cosmo Jarvis (John) and Moeka Hoshi (Usami Fuji) over the course of the show, I got more and more a feeling of kinship between them, though I loved Anna Sawai’s performance. Both John and Usami hate and question many of the traditions they are being forced to follow and I hope to see more of them together in season 2.
